Meet Your Coach
Christopher Lafleur
Hi, I’m Chris — the founder of New Road Financial Group.
My path into financial coaching came from my own financial struggles and seeing how often people feel stuck with money — not because they’re irresponsible, but because they’ve never been shown a clear, realistic way forward. A lot of financial advice is either overly technical or built for a lifestyle that doesn’t reflect how people actually live. I wanted to create something more grounded, practical, and human.
One of the biggest patterns I see is how easy it is to drift into spending more as life goes on. Raises come in, expenses quietly grow, and before you realize it, your lifestyle has expanded to fill every dollar. Living beyond your means — and the slow creep of higher costs over time — doesn’t usually feel dramatic in the moment, but it can quietly steal future options and opportunities.
Over time, I learned that meaningful change doesn’t come from extreme budgets, constant restriction, or chasing perfect systems. It comes from understanding what truly matters to you, organizing your finances in a way that feels manageable, and creating rhythms that support progress without draining your energy.
When we work together, you can expect a collaborative process. I won’t hand you a rigid template and send you on your way. We’ll look at your unique situation, your priorities, and your current capacity — then shape a plan that makes sense for where you are right now. The goal isn’t to overhaul your life overnight. It’s to build steady forward movement you can maintain long-term.
My role isn’t to tell you what to do with your money. It’s to help you see your options clearly, think through your decisions with confidence, and develop systems that support the life you want to live. Whether you’re navigating debt, trying to bring more structure to your finances, or preparing for what’s next, you’ll have guidance and accountability along the way.
If you’ve ever felt like financial advice just doesn’t fit your life, you’re not alone. This work is about creating something that finally does.
My goal isn’t to keep you as a client forever.
It’s to give you the tools and confidence to manage your money on your own — so coaching becomes something you graduate from. We’ll break things down into small, doable steps so money feels manageable again. You don’t need perfection — you just need a plan you can follow.
